A 2 x in, 3 x out Interface extension board – APM3 is provided for easy audio connection, which offers multiple kinds of interfaces, including RCA jack, 3.5mm AUX IN jack and PH-4Pos line input connector. After connection with APM3, APM2 can be easily integrated into any projects, such as Kiosk, Speaker Equalization, Active Crossovers, Digital Car Audio System, Home Theater, Karaoke, Musical Instruments and so on. APM2 and APM3 are both in 2’’ x 2’’ compact size, making them simple to be installed in any cabinet without occupation of too much space to leave enough headroom for other components.

High Performance ADAU1701

The on board fully programmable 28-/56-bit audio DSP ADAU1701 from Analog device is competent in various signal processing applications. This process can compensate for real-world limitations of speakers, amplifiers, and listening environments, providing dramatic improvements in perceived audio quality.

Four potentiometers are provided on APM2 for real time hardware control of the whole audio system for volume, gain and cut-off frequency setting.

Hello, can APM2 board be configured to provide 1 input x 4 output for frequency dividing, and EQ/Volume settings for each of four channels? This is a mono audio application.

Hello, Peter. APM2 DSP kernel board is a 2-in, 4-out module. Each output channel can be configured independently. The default program in APM2 doesn't support the functions you mentioned. You need to customize the DSP program in the SigmaStudio to realize your ideas. Wish this could help you. Have a nice day~

In the framework of a dual DSP setup ( one per side, 3 channels each ): Is it possible to link both APM2 in such a way that they both have access to the I2S flow from of WM8804? Each would use a single analog entry beside that. Goal is to have analog line input+ SPDIF input to this 6 channels / dual DSP power amp (based on T-AMP boards) Thanks, François

Hi, Francois. Thank you for your interest in our products. The application you mentioned is feasible in theory. 1. As for the connection of 2pcs APM2, please refer to the following video for the settings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qa_bESPwCTY 2. Please note, since you want WM8804 to deliver I2S signal to both APM2, you need to tear down crystal oscillators on both APM2 and deliver clock signal to them through MCLK on WM8804 board. 3. You can make modifications based on the provided demo program for 4-in, 8-out system to meet your requirements. https://store.sure-electronics.com/images/documents/APM2_4In_8Out_DemoProgram.zip 4. There may be noise after APM2 is connected with T-AMP amplifier boards due to their high gain values. Wish this could help you. Have a nice day~

Hi I have problems with hiss and noise. Its very loud. When i remove the RCA cables from Adau1701 DSP AMP2, to my poweramp, the noise is gone. So its coming from the AMP2. Is there a Way to remove the noise, either in the hardware or in sigmastudio? Regards Thomas

Hi, Thomas. That may be ground noise. Please kindly try to connect ground of APM2 and ground of power supply of your power amplifier by a cable. If there is still problem, could you please kindly send us some videos or pictures so that we can find the problem and solve it for you? You can send to store@sure-electronics.com. Wish this could help you. Have a nice day~

Hey, just received my APM2. its connected to my trebble amp and speakers and works fine on that side. However, i connected it to my 500 watt class D amp board for my sub through the sub outpout and this isnt working. My sub doesnt seem to be picking up any signal. Any reasons why this could be happening?

Hi, camille. Please kindly check the following issues. 1. Check if there is signal output from APM3 sub channel 2. Check the settings of potentiometers 3. The maximum output of APM2 is around 1Vrms. Check if the input sensitivity range of your sub amplifier matches with the output. If possible, please send us some pictures or videos to show us your connection and the problem so that we can solve it for you.

Hello, for S/PDIF (optical output), should I use the WM8804 S/PDIF AND IIS/I2S AUDIO SIGNAL TRANSCEIVER [744]? And send I2S signal from ADAU1701 to WM8804? Or what any other solution is there for optical out? Thank you! :D

Hi, Andrei. Thank you for your interest in our products. We can use APM2 and WM8804 converter board to get S/PDIF output. First, we need to get I2S output from APM2. Since the WM8804 converter board is master mode, so we need to set APM2 as the slave mode. Please kindly take the following steps. 1. remove the crystal oscillator on APM2 and connect with MCLK on WM8804 converter board. 2. Set the GPIOs of APM2 for I2S output as shown in the attached picture in SigmaStudio; 3. Connect the corresponding positions. The MP0 of J4 on APM2 is corresponding with DAT. The MP4 of J4 on APM2 is corresponding with SCK. The MP5 of J4 on APM2 is corresponding with BCK. Also connect the GND please. The following link is an instruction on how to achieve I2S input & output with JAB3. You can take it as a reference. https://store.sure-electronics.com/images/documents/How%20to%20achieve%20I2S%20input%20&%20output%20with%20WONDOM%20JAB3.pdf Wish this could help you.

Hello, I just received the APM2 product and J2 power connection is NOT a Micro USB port - It looks more like a USB-C port. The ICP1 programming board at J1 does have a Micro USB port while this APM2 does not. Can you please tell me what cable I need to power the APM2 board as the instructions appear to be incorrect. Thanks.

Hi, Steven. We have changed the power supply jack of APM2 to USB Type-C port. So you would need a USB Type-C cable to power the APM2. We will revise the instructions on the website. Wish this could help you.
