Hello - I have a ICP5 I'm using with Sigma Studio to program/modify a *.dspproj file in a JAB5 amp. I followed all the steps in the user guide, loaded the USB driver, upgraded the firmware via MIUMAX for JAB5, and loaded the *.HEX file as directed in the guide. My Acer Windows 10 laptop recognizes the ICP5 (Universal Serial Bus Controllers - Analog Devices USBi is displayed in the Device Manager. However, every time I select "Link Compile Download" I get an error message - "A USB communication failure has occurred. If the development hardware is connected, check the cable connections or try resetting the device". Any ideas on how to connect to the JAB5? Thanks, Armando

Hi, I wonder if youy could share some shots from the schematic for JAB5 how the STANDBY and MUTE signals are emplemented? I expect that both MUTE and STANDBY are controlled by the MCU (or signal level sensor HW) but also from external signals in J10 connector!

STBY of J10 and J11 are connected together.

Hello, I bought a JAB5 from you but when testing I see a strange rise in amplitude starting around 2kHz which rises to +8dB at 20kHz. The DSP is set to flat and I also checked with an oscilloscope on the ADAU1701 outputs and the response is flat, so it appears to be in the power amplifier stage. Hi, I'm using JAB5 4x100W board and I have a question: There is a 3p connector called "Control Compatible Port" (J10). Pin 3 is named "MUTE". Can this pin be used to mute the power amplifier by pulling it low (towards GND) with an external switch? Or is this signal controlled by other HW on the board? Best regards Markus

Hi, I would like to upgrade the JAB5 board with real audio grade capacitors in the analog signal paths from the DSP to the TDA7498 IC! I expect that there are in total 8 ceramic capacitors on the board that needs to be replaced! Which are they? Could you provide a list with the component reference designators and a placement drawing of the PCBA? It is so time consuming to measurte each signal path on the board :-)! Best regbards Markus

I don't believe that this device is capable of 50 watts per channel x8 (that's 400 watts total power output). 50 watts total power I believe, that's 6.25 watts per channel. your description says 8 x 50w, as in 8 channels at 50w each?

Greetings, I have 4 JAB5 amps and ICP5. I can get GUI to update then show JAB5 connection but have no control of sound. 3 times now the GUI has connected to amp and had strong clipping. I can get BT to work and have tried pausing music before connecting but did not make a difference. We are considering using many more of these and would like to have the interface working before we decide.

1. Upgrade ICP5 firmware through PC UI

2. Disconnect ICP5 with PC (No connection with any device, important!), set the switches for remote control

3. Connect ICP5 with JAB5

4. Power up JAB5

5. Finally, connect ICP5 to PC for control

Hi! I'd like to use APM2 with WM8804 S/PDIF AND IIS/I2S AUDIO SIGNAL TRANSCEIVER as S/PDIF input. In this case, I should set I2S input in SigmaStudio as slave (transceiver as master clock). If I turn on my SPDIF source after I turn on APM2, or if it changes the sample rate (say I change the input of my TV set feeding the SPDIF input), will APM2 reconfigure its clock on the fly? Also, will the DAC follow the sample rate of the SPDIF? Thank you!

Besides that, if you use ADAU1701 as salve mode, you need to get clock signal from WM8804 transceiver board.
