Hi.Is it possible to use this battery charging board with the JAB2 amplifier ? If yes, it's the same cable that we have with the cable package for JAB2 ?

Hello, Lucien. Yes. You can use BCPB3 to power JAB2 audio amplifier board. There is a PH-4Pos cable coming with BCPB3 for discharging. You can use that cable to power JAB2. However, if you want other cables for BCPB3, like external charging LEDs, Battery level LEDs and so on, you will need the functional cables kit for BCPB3. https://store.sure-electronics.com/product/PS-BC12311 Wish this could help you. Hellou Wondom, I've bought this board recently and I guess there are some differencies in output voltage info throughout your site. In feature section of this product there are stated two 5V 2A output ports and in board specs section there is voltage 14-21V. I'm asking about real voltage because I'm using Raspberry Pi 3B+ /5V 2A/ as audio source thus I'm not sure if I have to use step-down converter. Thnx for you answer.

Hi, Lukas. The voltage range of discharging ports on BCPB3 is DC14-21V. As for the dual 5V 2A USB discharging ports, that's equipped on the conversion board, which can be used with BCPB3. Here is the link of this conversion board for your reference. https://store.sure-electronics.com/product/PS-BC12211 Have a nice day~

Hello, I have this battery board and want to use it to power your JAB-4 amplifier board. When I connect the two with the included JST-PH-4PIN cable, the over-current protection triggers. After resetting it by plugging in a charger for a second, everything works just fine. Is there a way to increase the timer or current of the over-current protection? Or can I stay below the current limit by using two BCBP-3 in parallel? Or do you have an idea how i could smooth the power-on current from JAB-4?

Hi, emil. Could you please kindly send some videos or pictures to store@sure-electronics.com so that we can find the problem and solve it for you? We will reply to you as soon as we receive your email. Have a nice day~

I have the following problem with your BCPB3. V. 21121V122: The load is already disconnected when the battery indicator still shows 2 of 4 LEDs. I thought 2 LEDs meant 50 % battery level and 1 LED 25 %? Used battery: Samsung INR 18650 35E. The connected load is a step-up converter.

Hi, Arne. Do you mean that, when you disconnect the battery board with your load and press the battery level indicating button, two of the four LEDs would be ON? Please kindly note that, the four battery level indicators is related to the remaining battery capacity. And there is nothing to do with whether it connects with a load for discharge. Wish this could help you. Have a nice day~

I have a problem. When the board kills the connection to the batteries, due to low voltage while load on is connected to any of the terminals, the board cannot resume charging when power is reapplied. If I disconnect the load and wait 5 seconds, charging is resumed, and I can reapply the load no problem (charging will continue). When can I adjust the sensitivity of this behavior?

Hi, Troels. We didn't understand your question. Do you mean you remove batteries from the battery board and your battery board is still connected to the target board? It's not suggested to connect battery to your target board when the batteries are removed. In this condition, battery board runs abnormally. Or it may be because too heavy capacitive load in your target board. It's suggested to reduce plugging and unplugging of battery board and loads. If there is still problem, please contact us with store@sure-electronics.com. It'd be helpful if you attach some pictures or videos. Have a nice day~

Hello, I have 3 BCPB3s one is a 21121V122 and the other two are the newer Versions PS-BC12112V312. With the newer V312s I have the following problems: 1. The 5-24V Wago connector does not work. I measured the connections and found the the GND is not connected. (I tested both boards) 2. It does not charge with 5V. Charging start only with about 5.6V. I need for my application charging with USB 5V. Is there any way to adjust the lower Charging Voltage? 3. The charging LED is only active when the charging Voltage is > 11V. Why is that so? With the V122 charging and the charging led works perfect a 5.0V. I hope you can help with these issues.

Hello, Johannes. Thank you for your feedback. 1. We will convey this problem to our R&D department and conduct tests. You can connect to GND of J5. 2. BCPB3 can be charged with DC5V, but the current is low. We will convey this problem to our R&D department too. 3. The reason may be that the voltage of your batteries are not balanced or the battery voltage has reached close to saturation voltage, in which condition, it's in trickle charging stage, charging LED will not be ON. Wish this could help you. Have a nice day~

According to spec the board can charge with only 5V input but mine only charges when powered with 5.8V or higher. I have the 3s Version as well and it works fine with 5V there. Can you tell what kind of boost regulator chip is being used ( ist it U1?) I guess you would not send a screenshot of the schematic to my E mail for debugging purposes?

Hello, Ole. We have tested to power BCPB3 with DC5V. It can be charged but hte current is very low. If you want BCPB3 to be fully charged in shorter time, it's suggested to power it with 12V or higher voltage power supply. Wish this could help you. Have a nice day~

Hello Wondom Team The board wich i have, looks diffrent to the one on your picture. I think on the newer versions its the resistor R62? The resistor R62 on my board is an R020 (SMD 2512). On the board you have its the resistor 65. I have the version 21121V122. What i have to do there?

Hi, Tobias. You still need to change R62 (R020) to a 6mOhm one. Wish this could help you. Have a nice day~

Hello As you answer: Hi, Tobias. The overcurrent protection will be triggered in around 50ms. The current protection value can be increased by connecting current reducing resistors in parallel. But it's not suggested to do so, because it would have a negative effect on the battery safety. How i can increase the current value to 15Ampere? This would be perfect. Can you send me an Picture wich resistor i have to connect in parallel?

Hi, Tobias. Please change the resistor to a 6mOhm one in the red block in the attached picture. Please note that, this operation may have a negative effect on the battery safety, and we wouldn't provide warranty if there is any damage caused by your modification. Wish this could help you. Thanks for your answer. I want to build an mobile subwoofer, and i will use 2 of your 1 X 100WATT CLASS D AUDIO AMPLIFIER BOARD - TPA3116[445] boards. So the subwoofer need about 200Wrms. I have some IMR cells they will provie over 20A constant. No worries about the cells. My question is how fast the overcurrent protection will kicks in? Because to drive an subwoofer means to get current pikes all the time. So i ha e worries the BCP3 will always run in protection if this protection is to sensitive. Is there a way to expand the current protection to for example 20A

Hi, Tobias. The overcurrent protection will be triggered in around 50ms. The current protection value can be increased by connecting current reducing resistors in parallel. But it's not suggested to do so, because it would have a negative effect on the battery safety. Wish this could help you. Have a nice day~

Hello can i get more than 5Amps out of this board? I need abaout 200w like the one from dayton (LBB-5Sv2). I think they will be built also from you sure?

Hi, Tobias. Thank you for your interest in our products. The overcurrent protection value of BCPB3 is 10A. It is not suggested to discharge with higher current as the capacity of the battery is limited. Higher current usually means shorter discharge time. Wish this could help you. Have a nice day~

According to your youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0uvQcDiUdk) this board (5S 18650) supports MPPT - can you please confirm? I want to connect solar panels to the board permanently - can I still charge it through another port with a DC-power adapter even though solar is connected? Besides - is it possible to parallel two of these boards for more AH? BR

Hi, Anders. Thank you for your interest in our products. The new version BCPB3 supports MPPT charging funciton. You can connect it with the solar panels and DC-power adapter at the same time. They are separate circuit. The battery board would be charged by the one whose current is larger. However, the new version is still under manufacture. So, if you buy now, it would be the version that does not support MPPT charging. Wish this could help you.
