--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AA-JA11113 is a battery balance and protection board designed for 3pcs 18650 Lithium batteries in series, featuring full protection and high reliability, which improves the portability of the whole audio system and is a perfect rechargeable power supply solution for portable speakers. When fully charged, this battery board can provide 12.6V output voltage. With full awareness of the importance of operation safety, we employ overcharge, over-discharge, discharge overcurrent, short circuit, charge overcurrent and over-temperature protections in this battery board. The protection circuit will keep constantly monitoring the voltage and current of each cell. In addition, the Lithium-ion battery balance and protection extension board provides external bleeding for cell-capacity balance function to avoid unbalanced capacity between each cell.

Please note that charging circuit is not equipped in this battery board. If you want to recharge the batteries, make sure you have a JAB1 / JAB2 at hand as they are equipped with MPPT charging circuit.

Hi, I connected the unit and the battery status indication LEDs are permanently ON regardless of the push button switch being pressed or not. On start is was 25% and 50% on and now after some charging on external power supply (DC INPUT) the 75% LED is on as well. I checked the push button switch for the continuity and it seems it is always shorted. Is it the faulty switch or there is some internal shorting happening in the board or electronics?

Hello, Luka. When the battery board is connected with external power supply, the battery status indicators will be ON. Once the battery board is disconnected with external power supply, the battery status indicators will be controlled by switch. Wish this could help you. Have a nice day~

Hi, I own several of this boards. I purchased them a couple of years ago. In the datasheet I had dowloaded at that time, it is allowed to use in parallel and forbidden to use in serie. Out of curiosity, I checked your latest datasheet which is online. To my surprise, it now states that both parallel and serie connection are strictly forbidden. What happened ? AM I at risk , Why have you provisioned so many power connectors (J9, J10,J11) if not in the purpose of paralleling ? Thanks

Hi, Gael. It's suggested not to connect these battery boards in parallel because over-current would happen if you connect batteries in different types or with different voltage in parallel. If you ensure the types and voltage of the batteries are the same, you can connect battery boards in parallel. We provide many power connectors on this board for convenient power for multiple products at the same time. Wish this could help you. Have a nice day~

Hello again. On the other part of the board there are printed vbat+ and vbat-, and right next to it two holes, one circular and one square, which can be connected there. And please can you tell me the link to buy the producer that I need to connect to this board and be able to charge the batteries, I can't find your JAB1/JAB2 products on your website. I want to buy what I need to be able to charge the batteries on this plate, you can tell me what I need along with the links to the order. Thanks.

Hello, ANTONIO. JAB1 or JAB2 is an audio amplifier board equipped with charging circuit to be used with this JAB accessories battery board. The link is as follows. JAB1: https://store.sure-electronics.com/product/AA-JA32151v2 JAB2v2: https://store.sure-electronics.com/product/AA-JA32171V2 There are four models of JAB2v2 for your choice as 2 x 50W, 2 x 30W, 1 x 100W and 1 x 60W. Wish this could help you. Have a nice day~

Hello, I just received the bms board to control the charge of 18650 batteries and I have noticed that it is not the same as the photo on your website. I want to make the connection of two cables (positive and negative) to be able to charge the batteries but I don't know where to do it, since where it says "Vbat+" and "Vbat.", I only read 6 volts with the tester. On the other hand, on the other part of the plate there are 4 small holes (1 square and 3 circular) printed with "J16", measuring between the square and the last circular if I have 12 volts. My question is if that is where it says J16 where I should connect the positive and negative cable to charge the batteries and also get the 12 volt output. Thanks.

Hello, ANTONIO. Please note that this JAB accessory battery board is not equipped with charging circuit. If you want to charge batteries, JAB1 or JAB2 is required. You can connect this battery board to JAB1 or JAB2, and then connect power supply to JAB1 or JAB2. In this condition, batteries will be charged. If you want battery board equipped with charging circuit, which means you can directly charge batteries with a power supply connected to the battery board, you can take a look at our BCPB series. As for J16, it's for our test, please do not use it. Wish this could help you. Have a nice day~

Will this work with JAB5 and is there a way to charge it, please?

Hi, brian. Thank you for your interest in our products. This battery board (JAB-BE) is not equipped with charging circuit. Therefore, JAB1 or JAB2v2 is required if you want to charge it. It's suggested to use BCPB series to work with JAB5 as BCPB boards are equipped with charging circuit, which means you can charge them with a power supply. Wish this could help you. Have a nice day~

In the datasheet of the JA-11113 product it is said that it is possible to connect them in parallel but here you say it is not possible, so is it possible or not ?

Hi, Ewen. Thank you for your interest in our products. For operation safety, it is not suggested to connect the battery board in series or in parallel. Wish this could help you.

I would like to use this with the 1 x 100 Watt Class D Audio Amplifier Board w DSP - JAB3-1100[724] and the Bluetooth Audio Receiver Board V4.0 with Control Panel - BRB6P[701] , would that be possible?

Hi, jak. Thank you for your interest in our products. Please kindly be noted that the charging circuit is not equipped in this 3S 18650 battery board (JAB accessories). It's employed in JAB2. Therefore, if you want to charge the batteries, JAB2 would be requisite. If you want to power JAB3-1100 and BRB6P, we recommend you to buy BCPB2, 3S 18650 battery board integrated with charging circuit. Since the output voltage depends on the battery capacity, its maximum output voltage is 12.6V when fully charged, under which condition, the output power of JAB3-1100 will be lower. http://store.sure-electronics.com/product/PS-BC12111 Wish this could help you.

I purchased JAB 2 (50w) board and the battery balance board recently. When connected together, the battery board (aa-ja11113)does not power the amplifier board or charge the batteries. How do I troubleshoot this? The amplifier board works when connected to an external DC 12V power supply. Could it be a faulty battery board that I received from you? Thanks, PF

Hi, Prince.Fonseka. The new battery board need to be activated. Please connect the battery board with JAB2-250 and connect the JAB2-250 with a 15-24V power supply to activate the battery board. Wish this could help you. If there is any problem, feel free to contact us with store@sure-electronics.com.
