Please kindly take the following steps to use this board.

1. Install the USB driver on your computer. You can download the driver below according to your system.

2. Prepare an audio file which is in 7.1 format

3. Use a music player which supports 8 channel (7.1) audio file to play the prepared audio.

As an audio amplifier specially designed for game machine applications on the basis of standard products platform, WONDOM KAB9 inherits Sure Electronics consistent high reliability and high cost-performance. Fully taking customers’ requirements into consideration, we employ four AMP chip on KAB9 as 8 x 50W, all of which supports separate configuration into PBTL mode – 1 x 100W. That means KAB9 can be set as 8 x 50W for 7.1 audio system, 6 x 50W + 1 x 100W for 6.1/5.1 system, 4 x 50W + 2 x 100W for 4.2 system, 4 x 100W for 4.0 system and so on. Only one board can be configured for several applications, greatly improving system flexibility. The switching is conveniently achieved by the switches on the board, without any need of complex soldering. KAB9 is capable of delivering a peak output power of 8x 100W if it is equipped with a fan.

KAB9 supports differential input. In addition, KAB9 can support multiple input methods through connecting with an external plug-and-play module as a daughter board. We have released a 7.1 USB codec module for joint use with KAB9, which can avoid ground noise and ensure high quality audio playback. In future, we will develop various input module to extend more functions and possibilities with KAB9.

8CH 50W, suitable for 8.0/7.1/5.1/4.2/4.0 audio system

KAB9 is an 8-channel audio amplifier board, delivering 50W / 100W per channel. High output power and multichannel make JAB9 perfectly applicable to large-scale game machines, arcade equipment, race simulators and other industrial applications.

KAB9 supports PBTL configuration, which means that KAB9 can work as various output mode, like 8.0 mode (8x50W) for audio 8.0/7.1/6.2 system, 6.1 mode (6x50W+1x100W) for 6.0/5.1 system, 4.2 mode (4x50W+2x100W) for 4.2 system and 4.0 mode (4x100W) for 4.0 system.

8CH USB Codec Input

KAB9 can support multiple input methods through connecting with input modules as daughter board, which greatly improves system flexibility and expandability. We have released a 7.1 USB codec input module for joint use with KAB9, which is compatible with both Windows and Linux system. There is no need to worry about ground noise because of USB digital input. If you need analog input, differential input or other input methods, please feel free to contact us for further discussion.

High Reliability and Stability Verified by Strict Tests

We have carried out extremely strict test for KAB9 to ensure its reliability and stability. In addition to functional test and performance test, all KAB9 go through HALT and HASS test before storage. Hey there. I would like to take the KAB9 for a multiroom solution. Is there a possibility to get another codec where I can change the daughterboard to 4.0? I have four rooms that I would like to sound in stereo. Do you have an idea if it is possible to have four volume controls so that I can make the volume in the four areas independent of each other loud and quiet? Whether for Linux or Windows is not important.

Hello, I'm not using a temperature controlled fan. Just a 12v fan with a red and black wire. Does the KAB9 control the fan and starts it when necessary? Can you verify this or make a test on the board?

Hello, how many of these amplifiers can be used together? Only one or several? I am to supply 60 speakers and would need 8 amplifiers with 8 outputs each.

Is it possible to get only the 8CH 7.1 USB Codec board without the KAB9? I short circuit some of the speaker cables by mistake and blew up the the USB codec board :-(

Can I connect the 12V fan directly to the fan pin? Why are both fan pins GND? can you explain this please?

Hi! The power-supply connector is 4-pin. Can it be used with connecting just 2-pins? And is there any reason not to do it?

From the documentation: " “SYNC” position is used for switching frequency synchronization with another board. " Does it mean that 2 or more boards can have their audio clock synchronized? Please explain!

Hi, Marc. This "SYNC" position is the synchronous clock signal of the KAB9 power amplifier chip, which is used for amplifier board switching frequency jitter to reduce EMI interference and balance the load distribution of the power supply. It has nothing to do with the audio signal. For example, you have 2pcs KAB9 and use one power supply to power them. Hello! I tried the card with the 8 outputs connected .... but the sound only comes out on 2 channels ... Despite the 7.1 configuration in windows 10.... I specify that all the amps on the card are operational .... Do you have real functional drivers, because those mentioned do not work ... have you tried this card before the market?

Hi, how configurable are the various amps and inputs? Is there any ability to adjust signals in an eeprom fashion like the ADAU1701/JAB3+ with ICP3, or is it expected that the signal processing is handled by a computer program prior to being output as a 6.1 channel audio signal via USB. Apart from foobar2000 which I believe has some plugins to produce such outputs, are there specific programs in mind to interface to such an amplifier board? Does it have its own interface? Thanks.

Hi, Daniel. Thank you for your interest in our products. This 8CH audio amplifier board is not integrated with DSP module. Therefore, there is no software for control. The USB codec employed on this board is 8CH. A player which supports 8CH audio is required. It should be driver-free on Win10 system. Seems very good....but where can take connection cable...what the chip for Usb and drivers ?

If you want differential input, you can plug out the USB codec card and then plug in shielded audio twisted cable into J19. We can also develop analog input daughter boards for you if you need.
