Description

AA-AB32255 is a digital input high performance Class D audio amplifier with integrated audio processor, based on the TAS5756 from Texas Instruments. It provides 30Watts stereo, making it suitable for PC audio, Sound bars, Active speaker, DIY applications such as Raspberry pi. AA-AB32255 supports I2S digital input and supports high resolution playback up to 192kHz/24bit so customers can enjoy music same as originally recorded. Its advanced design offers low noise, high SNR and low THD+N as 0.06%, delivering premium audio quality to listeners.

Besides, this board also provides 3-wire audio digital interface (no MCLK required), supporting Raspberry Pi, offering a swift and convenient audio solution for DIYers.

It can also work as a high performance stereo audio DAC and supports direct analog output without amplification.

The Rotary Potentiometer Board( AA-AB41152) mentioned in the datasheet doesn't seem to be available anywhere. Is it a future product? Can I buy it? If not, can you explain the protocol so I can make my own? I'm guessing it is an I2C slave, which responds to requests from the amplifier for a volume level. What is the range of volume values?

Hi, Rob. Thank you for your interest in our products. We have launched the rotary potentiometer board for you. Here is the link: http://store.sure-electronics.com/product/AA-AB41152 Any problem, please feel free to contact us.

My two previous emails requesting technical information about this product have gone unanswered. Why have you not replied?

Hi, Greg. Thank you for your email. Please kindly be noted that the I2C BUS of J5 is not connected with the I2C BUS of TAS5756 since the J5 on the AA-AB32255 is specially designed for use with WONDOM Rotary Potentiometer Board. In addition, the device shown in the datasheet is WONDOM Rotary Potentiometer Board mentioned before. Wish this could help you.

Thank you for your answers to my previous questions. Regarding sample rate -- is the board hardware itself capable of higher rates? Meaning -- is it only a matter of proper settings in the TAS5756's registers? Or, would a hardware change be required to achieve higher rates? Thanks. I'm happy to buy the board, looks very nice.

Hi, Greg. Thank you for your interest. Please kindly be noticed that the hardware of 2 x 30 Watt Digital Input Class D Audio Amplifier Board & DAC - TAS5756 does not support higher sample rate. Some modification would be required. If you have any problem, please feel free to contact us with store@sure-electronics.com.

Does this board work "out of the box" without having to download one of TI's "HybridFlows" configurations or use their "PurePath Console" tool?

Hi, Greg. Thank you for your interest in our products. There is no need to download any software for use. When you connect it with I2S input, it will work as an audio amplifier. Wish this could help you.
